Purchase Terms and Policies

By placing and order with us, you agree to our terms of sale
CONTACT: Please send and email to contact@desertrosetaxidermy.com if you have any questions or comments about placing an order or an existing purchase. Be sure to include your name and relevant lot numbers with your message. Please allow up to 3 business days for a response.
PAYMENT METHODS: Typically we conduct sales through Paypal. Contact us if you need to arrange alternative payment. Concealed cash, personal/business checks, and money orders welcome. CONCEALED CASH sent at your own risk! Checks received will have a 5 business day wait period for payment to clear. There will be a $20 service fee for returned checks.
LEGALITIES & TERMS OF SALE: When it comes to laws and legalities, wildlife trade is serious business! Please make sure all of your purchases are in accordance with your local laws! It is assumed that when you order an item you can legally possess that item according to the laws of your state or country. If you order items you cannot legally possess, the Desert Rose Taxidermy will hold you (the buyer) responsible for any penalties and/or legal fees incurred by the company as a result of your illegal purchase/import. *This hasn't happened yet, and we hope it never will :)
PROCESSING TIMEs: Please note that most orders have a 2 - 3 business day processing time once payment is received.
SHIPPING METHOD: All orders are shipped USPS with delivery confirmation. First Class Mail tends to arrive within 2-3 business days, but can take up to 6 business days. Upgrade to USPS Priority 2-Day Mail with Insurance is available upon request and costs more. Items over 1lb must be shipped Priority.
INSURANCE: Standard USPS First Class Mail shipments are not automaticlaly insured. If you would like to purchase additional insurance please alert me before ordering. USPS Priority Mail orders do include full insurance. If you need to file a damage claim on an insured package, you can do so online at USPS.com.
ERRONEOUS ORDERS: We hand-pack all orders, and once in a rare while we make mistakes. If you should ever have a problem with your order please don't hesitate to contact us so we can fix the situation.
DAMAGED ORDERS: Occasionally packages take a beating during transit. If your item shows up damaged, and you feel that it is due to poor packaging, please notify us so we can get things straightened out! Some damaged items can be returned and fully refunded (including return shipping) or sometimes exchanged. Damages caused by poor handling need to be brought to the carrier's attention immediately by you, the recipient.
LOST IN THE MAIL: Items lost in transit cannot be refunded or exchanged. While extremely rare, this is an unfortunate circumstance where neither you or we are at fault. This is a risk buyers must take into account when placing an order online. We provide tracking information on all orders. Please remember that once a parcel is shipped out, it's no longer in our control. Claims of lost packages should be reported to the USPS by the recipient ASAP.
RETURNS: If your order arrives accurate and undamaged, but you wish to return it, you may do so for a full refund, howeverwe will not refund shipping. Please be sure to read all listing descriptions, including condition and item size. If you have questions you are welcome to ask before you buy.

International Orders

WILDLIFE REGULATIONS: All wildlife exports, by law, must be sent to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for inspection before leaving the U.S. Due to the high cost of upkeeping permits and tedious legal processes, we are no longer offering international wildlife shipments
EXCEPTIONS: Domesticated species have NO regulation or inspection requirements and can be shipped directly to you without hassle. These species include horse, cow, pig, goat, domestic rabbit, domestic feline and canine, and many others. Please note that some countries may restrict the import of domesticated specimens, always check your local laws before ordering!
